Lucrezia

DND Martinelli      2016

Lucrezia tells of an harmony of yesteryear, translating it into light shapes with a play of scrolls, spirals and mouldings inspired by the sculptural and architectural decorations of Michelangelo and Brunelleschi, the great artists of florence’s past. Lucrezia, with the typical name of Renaissance Florence that inspired it, sums up this artistic world in two formal gestures: the cylindrical base with its many volutes and decorations, and the linear part of the handle, minimal and essential on the front but embellished by light mouldings on the edges.
